This modern approach enriches flag throwing with contemporary engagement. Additionally, the Flag Throwers of the Rioni of Cori include a school of Renaissance music, where young members can learn music from scratch. Volunteers can learn to play natural drums and Renaissance trumpets (trumpets without valves). The marches are based on readings from historically preserved documents over the centuries. Currently, twenty compositions have been discovered and adapted for contemporary sensibilities. The Flag Throwers of the Rioni of Cori also perform a sword display in the style of the 16th and 17th centuries, particularly dynamic and engaging, suitable for both squares and theaters.
